This is not John but an observer of this team. Someone who appreciates a good solid team and does not talk about other teams. All the talking is to be done on the field and the results speak for themselves. Good luck to all the teams this season.

Why do you think John is posting here? You think he has time to waist on this site? I'm an observer of fine talent and just heard about this site and posted my comments, backed by proof. Also, knocking NHP's Goalie, again, there is a reason why we are not in last place

I'm sure all goals scored against were not just the goalie's fault. But then again, that's usually how everyone would perceive it!

We played NHP this weekend. They actually had two goalies who were both very good. I don't understand how you can knock either of those kids.

I may have missed it but I didn't see anybody knocking the NHP goalie.

I agree that Goals Against shouldn't just fall on the goalie, it the defense's (which is the whole team) job to prevent shots on goal.

This is an obnoxious post on so many levels and explains why many people have issues with the Crush. Yes, you have a great team, but is it really necessary to call out a kid who gave up 7 goals to probably the best team in the State? Was the Crush goalie off because he gave up 2 goals despite having an all star team of kids (almost all of whom have already turned 11) in front of him.

Looks like someone trying to stir the pot once again.

No pot stirring or did not mean to stir the pot if that is how it was taken, reply was to the below from a previous post:
"I would put the goalies from Farmingdale, NHP, and Elmont behind the Crush's goalie. Check out their goals against in both spring and fall seasons. Also take into consideration that these teams have played most of the top teams in league, tournament, and cup games. They are all very battle tested. The same can't be said for VOB and Hicksville."

""I would disagree about the NHP goalie, we've played them an scored numerous goals.""

I do not recall who the "we" are and how many "numerous goals" "they" claim they did score against the NHP goalie but I think that the NHP goalie deserves alot of credit as well as the outstanding defense provided by NHP for any team to even sometimes reach him. I mean, they did not win the Division Title last season because of luck. And on that note, that is also due to a great offense to keep the ball on the other side as much as possible and score, no matter if it was 1-0, 3-2, 6-0, a win is a win.
Overall, the team wins as a team and can of course lose as a team but the main focus here is "as a team". Hey, if your apponent scores a goal on you, so be it. That is the point of soccer, competition, hopefully the kids having a good time while growing and learning and hope Sportsmanship stays intact and is understood by all players, coaches and especially Parents who tend to usually stir the pot and then some. Yes, during games it could get a little messy but there are other factors that play that role as well.
