Crush won the event and Smithtown was a joke.

Crush 2 Everton 0; both teams played like thugs. I was there for a completely different age bracket and happened to be between games, so I watched the two teams. It was like a scene out of West Side Story without the weapons - both teams fouling each other like crazy. It wasn't even soccer. The 10 yr olds on the next field played better soccer than those two teams. It was an all out brawl to get the ball most of the time. Embarrassing. I thought soccer was moving a ball, not pushing shoving and kicking the opponent. Both teams should be embarrassed.

The Pocono Blast was a fun tournament, it is by no means a tournament you would go to if you wanted to play top notch teams, its mostly a D2-D3 type tournament, our team went last year and I have to say it was a fun tournament, not too far away, well run, but be warned, if your going to do that tournament BOOK NOW for hotels, there are a lot but they fill up quick. A lot to do in the area should you have a long lapse between games. A lot of fun and we played teams from NJ, MD and PA, they did not put us against one other LI team so it was definitly a good tournament for what we were looking for. If you are looking for slight competition, not a tournament that you will be playing teams that would kick Long Island D1 teams arses, then this is a good one.

Good luck

Yes...the Smithtown team stayed to watch the Almighty Crush play...get a life. I guess all the negative things that are said about the Crush on this site are true. Here's a little advice, win and lose (or tie) with class.

Were there any other D1 teams at Manhattan?
Farmingdale, Alberston, Hicksville or RVC?

Farmingdale lost 2 out of the 3 games, with a win over the very overrated Bellmore.

Fields on Sunday were very small and goals sagged in the middle. Bayport beat Smithtown 4-0. If they didnt let off the gas I was told it would have been a lot worse. Was at the Smithtown and Crush game and they tied it on a bad call PK and Crush hitthe bent top bar 3x. It wasn't as close as the score. Crush beat Bayport 4-3. Smithtowm lost to Bayport 4-0. I'm sure both might not have been as they were scored but let's reserve judgement about belonging until a few games into the season.

Bayport can't seem to get past the Crush. Would like to see one of those games. Results always seem to be close. Seen Crush a couple times. What's the story with Bayport? Easy with the N1 bashing too please!

They tied All*Stars at the East End tournament too.

But they lost to FP, RVC and massapequa. They are not in the top wave of teams. Second tier.
