I predict that a multitude of overweight parents who never played soccer a day in their lives will attempt to predict the outcomes of games over which they have absolutely no control.

I also predict that they will refer to their children's teams using 1st person plural pronouns in order to create the illusion, at least in their own minds, that they are the ones on the field.

Last, I predict that, in the week following the games, the aforementioned parents will post, anonymously, incendiary remarks about the teams who are, at least at this point in their development, more skilled than the teams on which their children play and the coaches who have selflessly volunteered thousands of hours over the years to help get the boys there...

But seriously, best of luck to all the kids.. may they stay healthy and injury-free... and best of luck to the parents who relate to what I'm saying... let's lead by example on the sidelines.

Well... the first week's results seem to indicate the teams in D1 are pretty evenly matched. It's great to see that there weren't any blow outs. Hopefully, it will keep up.

Best of luck to all of the teams... keep up the good work.

so here we are, new season, three refs and we loose a game 3 to 1. the other team scores 3 goals on three offsides, no call. we really did not deserve to win anyway but its amazing how things remain the same.

My sons team had one go just the opposite way. A goal, clearly not offside, no flag from the line judge, but the ref from 30 yards out calls it off sides, no goal. Says it's his call. Then why do we have a 3 person system in place??

What the heck does being fat have to do with being an A**hole? trust me, as a fat person who has sat her fat tookus on these fields for over a decade, I can assure you that the thin ones are far more obnoxious than the fat ones.

Enjoy your season skinny guy.
