So we play in Div 3, how many teams are moving out of division 1&2 to other leagues? I am wondering how far we will move up due to available open spots

Nassau or Suffolk? So far in Nassau, it appears only East Meadow is moving to RPL in the fall.

Do you have a problem with the RPL? Reading your post it would make one think that East Meadow will be playing East Meadow? Furthermore, there is no U10 age group playing RPL. U10 play in JSS.

If you are going to be U11 this Fall then I think you will surprised at how many teams are playing, but why do I think you know that and just trying, unsuccessfully, to steer teams away. I'll bet if your team didn't sign up for the Fall you'll be first in line for the Spring season.

Why is something always have to be wrong with the parents. Maybe it was the way EM did there tryouts because clearly there where better girls from the B team then the A team but the girls stay on the A team because who they are because of there parents or maybe it was the cost of what EM charges to have a 12x12 piece of field shared with 6 other teams or maybe the DOC of EM is just doesn't give a dam about these girls. You are right these girls did win state games and did make it to the finals but yet only 1 girl from that team made the A team. I do not believe they made it that far just because of 1 player. I believe there was a very good striker and a very good girl playing defense and now they play for someone else who sees there talent..please don't always blame the parents EM soccer isn't what it is cracked up to be.

Larry- when do you think the accepted teams to the U-11 RPL will be listed or available? Really intrigued to see who is playing.

I answered this in 2 other posts.

More teams than expected have applied, and if they get another few in each age group they will have two divisions.

Probably they'll be posted after 8/1

Here is one easy shot at the DOC from the outside - IF he allows his staff trainers to lock girls into positions at U10 so parents can reference them as strikers and defenders he is doing the girls s horrible disservice in their developement. All kids should be learning to play all positions and the skills and tactics associated with playing those positions.

IMO To call any 9 year old a striker or a pitcher or a point guard is just wrong

I really think parents are overreacting with EM...Please enlighten me on who there great striker was, when there team couldnt score a goal and who there great defender was that left. Please EM parents worry about your own child and stop putting other kids on a pedistal when they clearly dont belong there..
