She got every ball that was high. Also quick in her diving. Lindy is a very good team all around and I dont doubt them one bit, but without their keeper, I dont think they would be AS strong.

Hicks - fearless, strong, good in the air, top 3 in D4 ; There were 2 keepers on Hicks I believe, one was a little stronger and more fearless and one was better in the air. These 2 keepers were very good and knew what they were doing. Quick, athletic, and fearless. Also both played very well on the field.

OB - tall, quick, strong, top 3 in D4 ; OB didnt have the BEST season, but without there keeper, they wouldn't have gone at least as far as they did. She was big and strong. seemed to know what she was doing and talked to her team which is very important. Even as she was warming up you can see she had a lot of talent.

Thoughts??

How many times did you see each of the keepers play on each team in the division this year?

Other than their own kids' team, not many people get to see teams play multiple games. So if you need to see multiple number of games before offering an opinion on any team's ability when compared to other teams, I doubt any opinion could be given.

That said, I think comparisons at this age are useless. I know that our team's goalie in one game looks like she should playing on a world cup team (an slight exaggeration) and then in next game stands there and watches the other team slowly rolls the ball past her. So it depends when you saw her, she's either great or not so great.

Agreed and that was my point. If someone has seen teams play several times to offer an opinion I'd be worried.

My daughters team has played these teams about 2 or 3 times each in league play, winter season, and tournaments. So relax, im not a creepy parent who goes and watches 13 year old girls play soccer during my free time.

You may not be creepy, but you are still dangerous.

We try not to discuss individual players on this board. This topic has not yet degenerated into the usual vitriole, but it can easily go there if you continue to call out individual kids. I am happy that your daughter made the top 3 in your opinion. Maybe that is something you should share with her, and only her.

My daughter is on a D5 team..she's not a goalkeeper and is not one of the 3 players mentioned. Her team has played those teams and i was just saying ones that stand out. So everyone needs to calm down.

I agree (and I'm the one that first asked how many games you've been to). The poster didn't 'call anybody out' he just offered an opinion on who he thinks the better keepers are because someone asked the question. He didn't diss anybody. I can't stand when somebody says something positive and it's assumed they can only be touting their own kid or team.
