I coach an out of state team that has played Farmingdale a handful of times over the past 2-3 years, and I can tell you this with absolute certainty: Farmingdale plays the best, most effective, and most attractive brand of soccer of any team on Long Island. I will even go as far as to say that they are one of the top 15 teams in the USA. No, of course I haven't seen EVERY team in the country play, but I have seen (and coached against) some of the best (Match Fit-NJ, magicJack-FL, Krush-FL, Pride Predators-CO, etc, etc). Farmingdale can beat and OUTPLAY any of these teams on any given day. What type of person are you if you can't give this team credit?

The answer is simple that's the history of soccer on LI. Never give credit when credit is due! Of course it is known how good this team is but the nature of the beast on LI is to tear down and dissect teams not honor them and their accomplishments. I saw this team play an amazing match against MagicJack and they took that team to the limit. Cutting down teams are not new, just start on the U10 thread and work your way up and you will read how jelousy rears it's ugly head early on. That is why soccer is so dysfunctional on the Island. Too many teams with too few core players to go around but luckily this FU team has perservered.

thanks for your insight on FU but many teams feel that they can beat FU on any given day so that must mean there is many teams on LI who would be in the top 155 of the country. Thank you from all of these teams as you probably have not seen them play either

NY State belongs to FU.Its just a fact. You can think or feel any way you want, but until one of you beat them you cant think any different. Your ECNL teams are just not good. Neither team has anything to show to say different.

Hey Poindexter: How many in-state games has FU lost over the past 3 years? I'm guessing maybe 1?. That'd be 1 loss in 1095 days. Any given day? Hmmmmmmmm.......

How about FU play in the EMSC Tournie at the end of August and put an end to this debate? Does JG have the balls?

There is no debate the record speaks.
