any soccer field
Sunday marks the end of the small sided game for our daughters. Monday they are officially welcomed into the full sided game; joining with our neighbors across the Island. The alignments will be released, the sportsmanship awards announced, and then the fun begins......for the parents. wink

Regardless of the exchanges that will ensue here there will be some great soccer being played across the Island. These girls are ready for the challenge of 11 v 11. Let the games begin! Good luck and best wishes to your daughters! grin

The team FKA as LIFC went over to EMSC - with their coach and roster intact. Other LIFC team left last year for Brentwood. Same idea. Good move for them to get a stable club and good for EMSC as most of their previous A team left with their coach.

For LIJ purposes in the Fall, does NPT Elite go back to playing on age in U12 D1 or do they continue to play up until premier starts.
If they continue to play up, I assume the top 5 from U11 N1 and S1 will make up U12 D1, otherwise what happens if they play U12?
D2 will be interesting. I would imagine that Commack and to a lesser extent, RVC think that they should be part of D1 but it would be unfair to a team that goes .500 or above in N1 or S1 to be dropped to D2 (although that could happen if Npt were to come back)
Any thoughtful comments?

Northport is staying so this is moot. Alignments come out soon enough. Should be straightforward. The talking points are about the new rosters and new situations. WCFC reloaded - again - and LIFC in a club with recruiting potential. Who else are on their way up?

Brilliant move by LIFC, now they have a place to call home with a solid core of girls with a well respected Coach/trainer. In addition, they will now be able to participate in the ECNL. So as far as recruiting goes, their will be many quality players wanting to join this team. Coming off their success at the Delco tournament they have to be one of the favorites this fall especially since they are a much better team on the bigger pitch.

Nothing like a little self promoting, huh Mom?
Lets see what happens when lacrosse takes priority and this move at U12 means nothing.
