Here's my opinion about LI soccer. 8 million small clubs. Each has a board filled with interconnected people, many of whom have never played soccer, maybe college soccer 25 years ago. they have kids and friends in town, who are probably 15 or older. Each year they start new U10 teams - they don't know 98% of these people and can't be bothered because it's just too much work. So they know a few from the beach club or their older kids and pick those to run the teams - so we get town coaches who often don't know the game, maybe their kid can't even play, and they control the whole thing. there's no one to conplain to because the board doesn't know you, can't be bothered to know you, and has known the coach for 5-10 years. SO HBC IS THE SOLUTION!!! GET IT!!! THAT'S WHY WE GO THERE!! WE WANT OUR FREEDOM!! IF YOU REALLY KNOW SOCCER - THE TOWN CLUB WILL DRIVE YOU INSANE!!!! THAT'S WHY NJ SOCCER IS SO MUCH BETTER - REAL SOCCER DRIVEN CLUBS -

100% u r telling the truth.Once they're playing those R1 soccer clubs tournaments or leagues games then they'll know what's real soccer games are.Fortunately my 2 kids still playing the Premier leagues & the USSF gsmes.Hopefully someday the LI leagues can be at that level(not now).I hope these people learning their lessons not hitting the wall again after the games.HE..HE..HE..

Not Exactly, it was a general statement having seen this very often.....I would understand if a club was a mess or improperly coached....just hearing about it more now, in this age group.

No, I don't think we get it. An "A" team would be the best in a club. A "B" team next. if there are now 6 teams, what does that say about the other 4. And who are you to tell anyone that your two teams are A and B. It sounds like a breakaway republic in an already rebel environment.

I think the writer is correct in saying it is only A and B in your mind and it sounds like some people will be left out. those were good points. How do the other HbC teams feel about it?

I think the previous email refers to an exception. From the 6 hbc teams, 4 are "A TEAMS" in their own world. In the other hand in the United teams (coached and trained by the same guy; they even have the same website for both.) A is the United and B is (was) FC United. If your son is in one of the OTHER 4 hbcs, don't worry you're son is in an A team....happy????
