Don't know if this is the right thread. I can't find the u16 girls thread for 08/09. Does anyone know why HBC Intense did not complete their games in the US Club Soccer National Cup. They looked to be in first place and should have played for the final, but it didn't happen.

Hi The HBC Intense Did finish. They won the championship in Delaware the weekend of July 25-26

Remember when this thread was so hot and heavy (and often vicious). Just goes to show you how short the time is that we have to enjoy watching our children play "the beautiful game."

Guess they all made the varsity this year. Congratulations!

My daughter has played several varsity games this season against former travel teammates. It's nice to see them all still playing and succeeding in soccer.

Yes, I remember but it is also early. I hope that we hear positive from here on out.

I have always said that people should watch how they talk through the years because by this age they are sitting together at the sidelines as the teams dwindle down.

I hope that the latter is true and that everyone is happy that their girls are still playing and having fun. Have fun watching the Varsity games.

Congratulations to all the LI GU16 for their reults at WAGS (AF, EM, HBC, MS, SE) and Kirkwood (PT, LGS). Long Island was well represented!
