Thought I saw Valley Stream scrimmaging today. Was I hallucinating?

No you weren't. They are all on a team called Valley Stream Fire United.

Rascals split their games this weekend with Baltimore and Bethesda. Mattituck got beaten by Eastchester 6-0. Ouch. North bracket surprise is Syracuse; not enough to go on yet in South.

someone out there was going to do some u-18 State Cup predictions for the girls...hard to gauge at this point, but any thoughts?

Thoughts on G18 State CUp:

The seeding is a joke. If you look at the brackets, Rascals, Lewisboro, Metoval, East Meadow and Albertson are all in the same bracket. This is madness! Rascals pedigree is well known and they are the defending champions. Lewisboro is Region 1 this year, recently tying PDA. MetOval is last year's semifinalist in the State cup, beating Mattituck and Smithtown, and tying Lewisboro at Wallkill. East Meadow (a new version) is mostly the old RVC girls, right? How can all these great teams be in the same bracket? Surely the best 2 teams in the state are from this group (maybe Lewisboro & Rascals) but one of them won't be in the finals. THis is ridiculous.

And they would have everybody believe its a random drawing??? It is a little odd that of the 16 teams with round 1 games, only Eastchester has any pedigree at all...will teams be shifted around for quarterfinals, or is that only a semifinal trick.

The Rascals are improving with each game and will be peaking in time for the SC final and the Region 1 tournament. It won't be close.

With Singer daddy around...Rascals will lose.
