I don't think it's poaching as much as the parents of the players seeing an opportunity for better training and better development elsewhere. We left our town team a couple of years ago for the opportunity to train with a well respected trainer and t

So when a kid goes from say garden city to elmont its not poaching. But if the same kid goes to KK it is? And for another fine example of "local" teams being utterly fleeced by their trainers take a look at the BOTN thread regarding Jim N

Sorry to interrupt but I'd like to put the LIJSL aside for a moment and speak about the NYCSL teams. Specifically about NYPL and NPL at the BU12 level. (I know that to be in the NPL your entire club has to have a certain quality and ambition.)

I think i understand what your saying about playing soccer 24/7 vs. hosting a Keg party for a profit. 1.There are 32 panels on a traditional soccer ball, one for each country in Europe 2.A soccer field is called a “pitch” because every regulation

Hence, the reason there is little to no reason to argue with LI soccer parents. Your spirited defense of local teams would be laudable if it weren't so laughably misguided. Clubs like CSH and WB are a complete joke run by guys who, by the way, also

My guess for Nassau: 8-Syosset vs 9-Farmingdale. Winner plays 1-Massapequa. 5-Port Washington vs 12-Valley Stream Central. Winner plays 4-MacArthur. 6-Hicksville vs 11-Mepham. Winner plays 3-Calhoun. 7-Oceanside vs 10-Plainview JFK. Winner plays 2-Ea
