At The Berkshire Soccer Academy girls discover their greatness both on and off the field.
In 2018, we are offering 7 one-week sessions of world-class soccer training infused with balance and fun. Girls at the Academy receive elite training at top-quality facilities from our qualified and experienced coaching staff. As one of the few specialty soccer camps set in a traditional camp environment, we focus on player improvement while deliberately infusing fun and friendships into the learning process.
Developing our girls into "whole players" who are technically sound, tactically savvy, and mentally ready while providing a nurturing environment where fun and balance can thrive, is what we do best. Our athletes train hard on the field, and then enjoy relaxing elective activities, like canoeing or yoga, to decompress and enjoy down-time with friends–new and old.
Athletes live in clean, newly-renovated cabins they share with Cabin Counselors who are selected and trained to provide supervision and promote friendships among cabin-mates.
An attention to health and wellness is deliberately carried throughout the Academy experience. Athletes enjoy tasty and nutritious meals in our lakeside dining hall. We also teach our campers about injury prevention, dynamic stretching, and proper hydration.
Each Berkshire Soccer Academy staff member brings a unique expertise and enthusiasm that contributes to our dynamic camp culture.
Our staff is comprised of elite-level soccer coaches, qualified elective staff, and an excellent support staff who work together to create a fun environment in which personal and player development thrive. Every staff member is hired and trained to be a positive mentor and role model to our campers.
Our rigorous selection process ensures each staff member reflects the Academy's mission and values. We personally interview every candidate, and only hire those with excellent references, impressive experience working with children, and a willingness to dedicate themselves to the care and supervision of our girls. All candidates undergo a state and national background check.
We require staff to complete a comprehensive, six-day staff training prior to the start of camp. It covers important aspects of safety, youth development, and group cohesion. The training, which has been designed with the assistance of child development and camp industry experts, prepares our staff to provide a safe environment where campers can learn, respect each other, show good sportsmanship, and have fun.
