Sorry but in this case it is true. check u17 boys. This team didn't win the award but was pretty close to top point team. Maybe this division had a lot of bad sportsmanship. Or maybe the points are off. All I know is that when we played them he seemed to throw his weight around with our coach and the refs. This is a nice award for the younger kids. They should grade the parents and coaches seperately from the players. quote=LIRef77]
The points are really a joke in some cases. I know in my sons division the point spread between top team and bottom team is tremendous. We played both and there was no difference. In sportsmanship. The funniest thing is one of the biggest point getters was a team that the coach was red carded and suspended for a few games for cursing at the ref. If this is true Great example for the kids.
Factually incorrect and someone is not telling the truth. When a team gets a Red card (Coach or Player) it automatically gives them a zero out of 45 maximum points for that game and almost certainly knocks them immediately out of contention for a Sportmanship award or chevron. That would be quite a deficit to overcome and still win a Sportmanship Award and is quite improbable if not impossible.[/quote]
